Jeremiah 18:15-17

^15 (A)But my people have forgotten me;
    they make offerings to ^(B)false gods;
they made them stumble in their ways,
    ^(C)in the ancient roads,
and to walk into side roads,
    ^(D)not the highway,
¹⁶ making their land ^(E)a horror,
    a thing ^(F)to be hissed at for ever.
^(G)Everyone who passes by it is horrified
    ^(H)and shakes his head.
^17 (I)Like the east wind ^(J)I will scatter them
    before the enemy.
^(K)I will show them my back, not my face,
    in the day of their calamity.”
